Trevor Smith

Trevor Smith is a Partner within Odgers’ Industrial Practice and is Head of the Canadian Energy Practice.

Based in Toronto, he brings over a decade of executive search experience, specialising in leadership and Board appointments for clients in the industrial, manufacturing, aerospace, defence, and energy sectors. Leveraging his multi-sector experience and functional expertise, he partners with organisations across Canada seeking to secure exceptional leaders to drive growth, innovation, and success. 

Before joining Odgers, Trevor held a leadership role at a boutique search firm where he worked with some of the country’s most highly regarded companies in energy, consumer packaged goods, telecommunications, and manufacturing. He is a dedicated advocate for corporate governance, ESG principles, and sustainability, and strongly supports giving back to the community. Integrity, transparency, and collaboration are central to his work.

Trevor holds a BA in Political Science and History from Wilfrid Laurier University and has a postgraduate certificate in Human Resources Management from Sheridan College. Beyond his professional commitments, he volunteers on the Board of Dufferin Child & Family Services.
