Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about the program and selection process.

Eligibility

Are graduate (Masters, MBA, Ph.D.) students eligible to apply for CEOx1Day?

Unfortunately not. The CEOx1Day program is open to second-, third-, fourth-, and fifth-year students enrolled full-time in a university or college undergraduate program.

I am studying in the United States but outside of the  Washington, DC/NYC/Boston regions. Am I eligible to apply?

To be eligible for the US program, students must be enrolled at a university within the Washington, DC, New York City, or Boston regions. We look forward to expanding to additional regions in the future.

Participation and Selection Process

What is involved in the selection process? Is there a cost to participate?

CEOx1Day is a complimentary program offered by Odgers. The selection process includes a written application, a brief video submission, and participation in a Career Development Day featuring speed interviews, elevator pitches, and a leadership assessment. Finalists are then selected for a one-day mentorship experience with a CEO.

Will I be informed if I am not chosen to move forward in the selection process?

Yes, applicants are notified at every stage of the process by email, whether they have been selected to move ahead or not.

Semi-finalists will be announced December 2026. Finalists will be announced February 2027.

The Career Development Day and/or CEO Mentorship Day conflicts with my course schedule. Can the dates be switched?

During the application process we ask for participants to confirm their availability for both the regional Career Development Days and CEO Mentorship Days. Dates are available in the Key Dates section, as well as in the application form.

These dates have been booked months in advance, therefore, they cannot be changed. An official letter will be provided that outlines involvement in the program, to share with professors where necessary. If you are selected but unable to attend either event, the opportunity will be provided to another student.

Do benefits of the CEOx1Day program include being considered for an internship?

Finalists are often considered for internships by Odgers, and some exceptional finalists have been offered roles at their mentorship organizations.
