Kaushik DasGupta

Kaushik DasGupta is the Managing Partner of India at Odgers, a role he assumed in July 2025, and concurrently serves as the Consumer & Media Practice Lead for APAC.

In these capacities, Kaushik sets the strategic direction for Odgers’ operations across India and drives the growth of the Consumer, Media and Retail sectors throughout Asia Pacific. 

Since taking the helm of Odgers’ Consumer, Retail & Media practice in India in 2020, Kaushik has expanded its footprint across APAC, leading high-impact executive searches that secure C-suite and board-level appointments for both foreign as well as India-based multinational corporations, and regional organisations. Under his guidance, the Consumer practice in India has grown to become the firm's one of the largest practices in India, demonstrating remarkable success and consistently supporting clients not only in India but also in their global expansion plans.
A seasoned veteran in executive search, Kaushik has dedicated over 20 years of his career to the field. Prior to joining Odgers, he held long-term Partner roles with two of India's largest and most successful search firms, both part of global networks. 
Kaushik began his corporate career with J. Thomas & Co., the world’s largest tea-broking firm, focusing on product valuation, market analysis, and B2B client relationships. With over two decades of executive search experience, he has a proven track record of delivering on complex and sensitive mandates, leveraging a vast network and a consultative approach to attract top-tier talent. Throughout his career, Kaushik has overseen CEO / MD as well as CXO searches across the FMCG, consumer durables, retail (including luxury), media, private equity, professional services and life sciences sectors. He has also partnered with clients in the consumer health and medical devices spaces. As a trusted adviser to private equity firms and management consultancies, he has helped build senior leadership teams that align with their portfolio organisations or their clients’ talent strategies.

Kaushik is frequently invited to speak at industry forums and contributes thought leadership articles on emerging talent and leadership trends across the consumer, retail, and allied spaces.

Kaushik holds an Honours degree in Computing and Information Systems from the University of London, UK.
