Rob Crawford

He brings deep experience recruiting senior executives, Board members, and investment professionals for private equity firms, their portfolio companies, and public companies.

Before transitioning into executive search, Rob spent over two decades as an M&A and Financial Sponsors investment banker, advising C-suite executives, investors, and Boards on strategic initiatives. Having spent his entire career in financial services, he brings particular expertise in recruiting senior finance leaders, having placed numerous CFOs across private equity-backed and public companies, and supporting the build-out of their finance organizations, including FP&A leaders, corporate controllers, chief accounting officers, tax leaders, and divisional finance executives.

Rob began his executive search career at a leading global executive search firm, where he was a Principal and a core member of the Private Equity, Financial Services, and Financial Officers practices. He later served as a Partner and senior member of the Private Equity, Corporate, and Board practices at a national executive search firm and Managing Director at a boutique executive search firm focused on recruiting leaders for private equity-backed portfolio companies.

Earlier in his career, Rob served as a Managing Director at alternative investment firms Fair Oaks Capital and IMB Partners. Prior to that, he helped establish the New York offices of middle market M&A boutiques Lincoln International and Bowles Hollowell Conner. He was also a founding Partner at Watch Hill Partners. Rob began his investment banking career as a Financial Analyst in the M&A group at Goldman Sachs and later rejoined the firm as a Vice President.

Rob holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from Morehouse College, where he graduated as class valedictorian.
