Lars Smith serves as the Managing Partner at Odgers’ Copenhagen office, specialising in corporate governance, board evaluations and high-level assignments across various sectors, including technology, infrastructure, public, industrial, energy and renewables.
He is an integral part of the Odgers Global Tech Practice, Industrial EMEA Practice and Renewable & Cleantech Practice.
Lars actively engages in leadership assessments and development. He is a certified coach and team coach with several years of experience coaching business leaders and top athletes.
Prior to his current role, Lars held the positions of CEO and Divisional Director at Siemens IT Solutions & Services. He also had senior management roles at Siemens Nixdorf Computers and Siemens Business Services in Denmark, significantly contributing to Siemens’ prominence in the IT sector.
Lars holds a master’s degree in organisational psychology from Roskilde University and has achieved supplementary training from INSEAD, IMD and Stanford Graduate School of Business. His original training background is in electronics engineering. He is also part of the board governance faculty at Copenhagen Business School.
Lars joined Odgers in 2008.
