Devaney Baccarin

Before his career in executive search, he served as Director, VP and General Manager at multinational pharmaceutical companies including Roche, Eli Lilly, Wyeth, Genzyme, Astellas and Recordati Rare Diseases. 

Devaney holds degrees in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from USP, Journalism from Cásper Líbero Foundation, and an MBA from ITA-ESPM. 

During the last seven years, he has worked as a consultant in M&A, Licensing, Logistics and Biotech Start-ups. Devaney served as President of Abimip (now Acessa) and council member of Interfarma, where he led the access committee that contributed to the creation of CONITEC, establishing criteria for incorporating innovative medicines into Brazil's public healthcare system (SUS). At Abimip, he helped develop the regulatory "switch" mechanisms for transitioning prescription medicines to OTC. He is a member of the National Academy of Pharmacy, recipient of the Cândido Fontoura Merit Medal from Sindusfarma, and serves on Interfarma's Ethics Committee.
