Karen Younie

Karen was previously Head of Research for the Oil & Gas Practice in Aberdeen from 2010-2016, where she conducted research projects at a senior level with a particular focus on the UK and Middle East. Karen subsequently joined the Scotland Practice as Head of Research in 2016, where she has responsibility for a cross section of senior appointments in the Scottish private and public sectors.

Originally from Edinburgh, Karen spent 17 years in the Middle East. She has multi-disciplined recruitment experience with executive search firms Boyden and KPMG in the UAE. Earlier in her career, Karen worked in-house as a Recruitment Manager and HR Advisor with KEO International Engineering/Construction and SINOPEC Oil and Gas in Syria. Karen has a Diploma in HR Management from the University of Leicester and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
