Rupert Lion

Rupert Lion is a Partner, Global Technology Practice & Head of Scale Up Collective U.S. based in Austin, Texas.

Prior to joining Odgers, Rupert worked for a well-known boutique executive search firm as a Managing Partner, where he focused on PE and VC clients within the Technology, Media and Gaming sectors. Over the last 20 years he has worked extensively with PE and VC firms, boards, and portfolio companies in the US, UK, and EU to build high-performing teams and organizations, leveraging his expertise in talent strategy and tech innovation to enable their success.
 
Earlier in his career, Rupert worked in strategy consulting for global firms like Deloitte and OC&C, focusing on the Technology, Media and Gaming sectors. This has underpinned his more recent work supporting many clients deepening their organizational strategies. As a founder of a technology startup, he has experienced the journey firsthand in the same way as many of his clients.
 
Rupert graduated with a Master of Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).
