Merete Søby

Merete Søby is a Partner at Odgers' office in Copenhagen. She is an experienced executive with over 20 years in the IT industry.

Merete has held a number of high-profile roles, most recently as EVP at KMD, where she was responsible for five acquired software companies. Prior to that, she spent 12 years as CEO of Hitachi. She has worked across a wide range of business areas, particularly IT and technology, where she has led digital transformation and developed data-driven solutions. She also brings experience from sectors such as shipping and logistics, healthcare and safety, as well as energy and utilities. Merete is recognized for driving growth and building high-performing teams.

Since 2005, she has served as a board member and chairperson, primarily within Private Equity and publicly listed companies.

Merete holds a CBA in Sales & Marketing from Copenhagen Business School and a CBA in Management from AVT Institute.

Merete has been with Odgers since 2025.
