Rodney Ferguson is a Senior Advisor at Odgers, supporting the firm’s team in Washington, D.C.
He also serves as Chief Operating Officer of The Clearing, a management consulting firm based in Washington, D.C.
Previously, Rodney was President and CEO of Winrock International, a global development organization working in over 50 countries. He led strategy, operations, and programs focused on environmental sustainability, human rights, and agricultural development.
Rodney spent two decades as a communications and strategy consultant, advising major foundations and nonprofits, including the MacArthur Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and Pew Charitable Trusts. He began his career as a journalist with The Wall Street Journal and The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer.
Originally from Alabama, Rodney holds a BA from Birmingham-Southern College, studied at the University of St. Andrews as a Rotary Scholar, and earned a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. He serves as Vice Chair of the Board at Concordia and lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and two children.
