Matt Cockbill

Matt Cockbill is a Partner in Odgers' CIO & Technology Officers Practice, based in Birmingham and London. He is a trusted adviser to organisations navigating technology-enabled transformation, helping them secure senior leaders across technology, digital, data, cyber security and AI.

Matt works with clients across a range of sectors, with particular depth in industrial markets, including Aerospace & Defence and Energy & Utilities.

He has led global and regional mandates to secure executive leaders driving technology, AI, data, cyber and digital platform-enabled transformation for FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 listed clients, as well as private equity-backed scale-ups and public sector bodies.

Having led several search and advisory projects, Matt has supported FTSE100 and private equity portfolio companies embracing substantial operating model change through the exploitation of agentic and generative AI, data & advanced analytics, improved business resilience & cyber security and digital platform shift. 

Matt joined Odgers in 2005 as a founding member of Berwick Partners, the firm's mid-market search business, where he advised clients on senior technology and transformation leadership appointments across Europe. He joined Odgers' CIO & Technology Officers Practice in 2022 and holds a degree in Law & Economics from the University of Leicester.
