Yan Vermeulen is Managing Partner, Southeast Asia at Odgers and leads the firm's Industrial Practice across Asia-Pacific.

Yan advises organizations on retained executive search, leadership hiring, CEO and C-suite appointments, and board search assignments across manufacturing, process industries, electronics, energy, engineering, transport, and aerospace & defense.

As Global Head of Odgers' Process Industries Practice, Yan works with organizations to identify and attract senior executive talent across the chemicals, materials, ingredients, and packaging sectors. He partners with clients on leadership succession, business growth, and the development of high-performing leadership teams capable of navigating increasingly complex and competitive markets.

Yan brings extensive executive search experience across Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining Odgers, he spent more than eight years with a leading international executive search firm, where he served as Director for Southeast Asia and established industrial search teams across Japan, India, and Singapore.

Combining deep industry expertise with a strong understanding of regional markets, Yan helps clients secure the leadership talent required to drive growth and long-term success. He holds degrees in Business Administration and Japanese from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and completed a year of study at Kansai Gaidai University in Japan.

As a Thought Leader in Sustainability, he advises companies on talent strategy with regards to responsible business and sustainability. He is a writer of sustainability books for children.

He is an active investor in Southeast Asian start-up companies and sat on the Board of an international school in Singapore.
