Julie Choi is Principal and Head of Assessment Services at Odgers, where she leads the firm’s executive assessment offering.

In this role, she oversees the design and delivery of high-impact assessment solutions that support organizations in making informed leadership decisions. She ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality, evidence-based insights that clients and candidates rely on, while also shaping the firm’s assessment strategy and maintaining rigorous standards across all engagements.

Her deep expertise allows her to uncover nuanced insights that help senior leaders understand their strengths, navigate blind spots, and accelerate their development whether they are transitioning into new roles or striving to increase their impact. Known for her ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable guidance, Julie empowers individuals, teams, and organizations to make confident decisions and achieve lasting results.

Prior to joining Odgers, Julie held a variety of consulting roles with a focus on leadership development and succession. In her consulting work, she supported organizations and their people through critical phases of growth and change. She brought deep expertise in developing assessments, building competency frameworks, identifying high-potential talent, and partnering with executive teams to refine their vision and purpose. Her approach ensured that both organizational strategy and individual development were aligned, enabling sustainable impact across all levels of the business.

Julie has over eleven years of qualitative and quantitative research experience, and holds a Doctorate of Philosophy and a Master of Science from the University of Calgary, specializing in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Her former research focused on abusive leadership and the complex shifts leaders must navigate as they transition into executive roles, including how they adapt their mindset, behaviours, and influence to meet the demands of senior leadership.
