Markus Trost

Markus Trost heads the Technology, CIO Office and Business & Professional Services Practice Group in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

He advises and supports clients and candidates in filling leadership roles in the area of TMT and beyond in the areas of digital transformation, data & artificial intelligence, IIoT & connectivity, and ecosystems.

Strengthening Europe's companies with technology and innovation talent and thereby making them successful in the long term, diversely and sustainably is an important concern for him. Many mandates of his Practice Group are therefore characterized by close cooperation with colleagues in other market segments around technology-intensive leadership positions such as Chief Technology Officer, Chief Transformation Officer, etc. and the close connection to the Leadership Advisory area.

He is co-responsible for collaborations with chairs and innovation institutions such as appliedAI, Europe's largest initiative for the application of artificial intelligence. For years, he held a teaching position on leadership at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences.

Before joining Odgers, he was a managing director in the BPO/ eCommerce industry as well as for a medium-sized group of companies. He started his career in a renowned strategy consulting firm. His degree in industrial engineering at KIT was completed with postgraduate studies at Harvard Business School, INSEAD and IMD.
