The changes reflect Odgers’ ongoing evolution to meet the needs of an increasingly complex and global client base, bringing greater clarity, pace and collaboration across APAC markets.
In Australia, Toby Gardner will continue as Managing Partner and has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, APAC, expanding his remit to include responsibility for the region’s central services functions.
Bringing our teams together with greater clarity and momentum is critical to support the region’s next phase of growth. This structure allows us to move faster, collaborate more closely and ensure APAC plays a central role in the firm’s global agenda.
Yan Vermeulen has been appointed Managing Partner, Southeast Asia, reflecting Odgers’ continued investment in leadership and capability across Southeast Asia and the importance of Singapore within the firm’s global network.
Singapore plays a vital role in Odgers’ Asia Pacific footprint. I’m excited to be part of a leadership team that is so clearly aligned across the region and globally. Southeast Asia is a strong foundation for growth and for delivering even greater value to our clients.
In addition, Mark Braithwaite has been appointed Chairman, APAC. In this role, Mark will continue to work closely with country heads as an advisor and mentor, and as chair of the APAC management team.
This transition positions APAC for long-term success, while ensuring we remain closely connected to the UK and broader international group. It’s about creating the right environment for leadership to flourish across markets.
These APAC appointments follow the successful evolution of the UK leadership team, where Kate Burns has been appointed Managing Partner UK, having streamlined and strengthened the firm’s operations as Chief Operating Officer. Her promotion enables increased focus on international growth and closer integration between the UK and APAC businesses.
Together, these leadership changes mark an important step in Odgers’ next stage of growth and ensuring the firm remains agile, global, and future-focused.
