Prashant Masand’s areas of expertise include board governance, enterprise risk management and board oversight of complex areas.

Prashant brings over 24 years of experience in advising Boards and C-suite executives in financial services, healthcare and life sciences, consumer business, technology, public and not-for-profit sectors across Canada, US, Caribbean, UK and Europe.

Prashant has advised 75+ boards globally - across public companies, private companies, regulators, and government. He is known for helping boards and the C‑suite strengthen oversight across complex areas including risk, technology (including AI, cybersecurity, and digital transformation), geopolitics, operations, shareholder activism, regulatory compliance, sustainability, crisis response, and enterprise transformation, bringing a practical, cross‑industry perspective shaped by international experience.

Throughout his career, Prashant has led board, chair, committee, and CEO effectiveness assessments and set annual priorities and action plans for boards, committees, and CEOs in collaboration with board and committee chairs of public and private companies. He has also established boards and implemented governance structures, charters, and workplans. This experience gives him an informed understanding of high-impact skills and perspective that boards need to align with the strategy of their organizations.

Prashant holds a Master of Science in Corporate Finance from Bentley University, a Master of Science in Operations and Technology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Marketing from Symbiosis University.

He is an Accredited Board Director (AccBD) through the Board Diversity Network and Toronto Metropolitan University. He is a Deloitte Board Readiness Director (Deloitte.D) though Deloitte University and David Beatty, Founder of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD). He has a Corporate Governance certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors. He also has various designations related to risk management, and internal audit.
